What is ReGear?

ReGear is a motorcycle thrift shop specializing in quality pre-owned motorcycle gear. Our goal is simple: keep good gear in circulation and make riding gear more affordable.

Is everything used?

Most ReGear inventory is pre-owned, but occasionally we may have new or never-worn items as well. The condition of each item will be described in its listing.

Do you sell used helmets?

No.

A helmet can have damage that isn't visible, and we can't always verify the complete history of a pre-owned helmet. Because of that, ReGear does not sell used helmets.

What kinds of gear do you sell?

Inventory varies, but you may find:

Riding jackets
Riding pants and jeans
One-piece and two-piece riding suits
Motorcycle boots
Gloves
Armor and protective equipment
Rain gear
Motorcycle-specific apparel
Select accessories

Because most items are pre-owned, inventory is constantly changing.

How do I know if something will fit?

We include the manufacturer's listed size whenever possible and may include additional measurements in the product description.

Motorcycle gear sizing varies considerably between brands, so we recommend checking the manufacturer's sizing information and comparing measurements with gear you already own.

If you need a measurement that isn't listed, contact us and we'll be happy to check the item for you.

Can I try gear on before buying it?

Yes! You can schedule an appointment by texting 512- 765-6668. Appointments are usually available Tuesdays thru Saturdays. ReGear also hosts local pop-up shops where you can see and try on available gear in person.

Can I sell my gear to ReGear?

Yes. ReGear purchases select motorcycle gear outright.

Send us photos along with the brand, size, condition and any other information you have. If we're interested, we'll make you an offer.

Do you offer consignment?

Yes. Select items may be accepted on consignment.

ReGear handles preparing, photographing, listing and selling the item. When it sells, you receive the agreed-upon portion of the sale.

Can I donate gear?

Yes. We accept select usable motorcycle gear as donations.

ReGear is not a nonprofit organization, so gear donated directly to ReGear is generally not a tax-deductible charitable donation. Although, we are exploring avenues to be able to offer this.

Does my gear have to look new?

Nope.

Motorcycle gear is supposed to be used. Normal wear doesn't automatically disqualify an item.

We may even accept gear with cosmetic damage or minor imperfections as long as it is still appropriate to sell and the condition can be clearly disclosed to the next rider.

Do you accept crashed gear?

It depends on the item and the extent of the damage.

Send us detailed photos and tell us what happened. We'll evaluate it individually. Minor to moderate cosmetic damage is usually ok but will affect pricing. Gear with damage that could compromise its protective function will not be sold.

How do you determine prices?

We consider brand, age, condition, current market value and demand.

Is used motorcycle gear safe?

Pre-owned gear can still have plenty of useful life, but no used protective equipment comes with a guarantee about how it will perform in a crash.

We visually inspect gear and disclose known or visible damage to the best of our ability. Buyers should review photos and descriptions carefully and decide whether an item is appropriate for their riding needs.

Why buy used motorcycle gear?

Because good motorcycle gear can be ridiculously expensive.

Buying pre-owned can make higher-quality protection accessible at a much lower price while also keeping perfectly usable gear out of closets and landfills.
